Slip past the karaoke rooms, the double-decker bus repurposed as a cocktail bar, the band stage and the DJ booth. Head directly to the Vinyl Parlor, a secret bar tucked behind an unmarked door at On the Record inside Park MGM. There, guest “startenders” — elite bartenders from other cities — shake and stir the drinks on weekends, creating cocktails and mocktails based on song titles from the room’s vinyl record collection. Hand the bartender the 1980 album Winelight, point to the song “Just the Two of Us,” then settle into one of the cozy love seats. Nothing here is really on the record, right?
